On Friday I was part of the wonderful wedding of Anthony and Paula who got married in Liverpool. It was a late ceremony beginning at 4pm but they still wanted the preparations and build up documented beforehand.
I arrived 3 hours before (like I always do for the Bridal preparations) where I was met by Paula and the girls who were having their hair and make-up done. I began documenting everything before moving on to capture the smaller details including the dresses, shoes, jewelry, flowers etc. Once I was happy and the time had caught up to me it was time to head over to the ceremony room to meet and greet Anthony and photograph guests arriving.
It was soon time for all family and friends to be announced to take their seats ready for the arrival of the Bride. Paula was to walk down with her Brother but just before she reached her soon to be Husband her Father had the last few steps with his Daughter which was lovely to see 🙂 The ceremony ran smoothly and with rings exchanged and the official signing of the register complete I got myself ready for the new Mr & Mrs to walk hand-in-hand back up the aisle to receive their celebratory glass of fizz!
Due to the horrific weather in the morning we got our opportunity for outside shots as the sun was beaming down. I got everyone outside and began with the large group shot of all guests followed by a few smaller groups and then just before everyone went inside I grabbed Anthony and Paula for a couple of photos of them together just in case the weather decided to turn again.
It was a very informal affair so there was no official introduction of the newly weds as they walked straight inside and to their seats to enjoy a well earned meal which obviously was the wedding breakfast, their first meal as Husband and Wife 🙂
After coffee’s were served evening guests were soon arriving and so before I lost the happy couple in all the excitement of greeting them I went outside once more time with them for the final part of the more intimate shots of them together. The sun was just setting which gave us great light for this more personal part of the day.
We did a mock cut of the cake followed by the first dance which included a little surprise from the couple. A choreographed dance was in store for all those watching and was superb as they smiled away to one another. I hope they had an absolutely memorable day and I can’t wait to begin the editing of their wedding photographs. For now please enjoy these sneak peek photographs 🙂
